2012 is a year that is not going to sit still and one that you're not able to define or label from what you see at the start. As you move into the New Year the themes that were in play last year will continue, but as the year progresses you'll find that life diversifies. Chances are you'll begin the year with your working hat on, yet in a way that allows you to work on your game plan and get things on track, aware of the need to have the right work/life balance. February, March and April are the power months on the career front, but unlike previous years this is no longer the 24/7 drive that it once was. It's Jupiter's position in your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking, until the 12th June that puts a lot of focus on your social life and if things slowed down in the later months of 2011, then chances are beefing up your social life will be a resolution you'll move into 2012 with. Your home and family life continues to be an important feature in your life and if you're struggling with family responsibilities, that will continue through to early October, however as the year progresses and especially if from the start you work on establishing the right work/life balance, you have a chance to cement something strong, meaningful and permanent. However, if you find that you're starting to ask 'what about me', especially when it comes to having fun, play, creativity and romance, then the answer is the second half of the year. With the North Node returning to your romantic and creative sector on the 30th August, Saturn on the 6th October and a total solar eclipse here on the 14th November, you're about to move into a powerful chapter of the year, one that will take until 2015 to play out. From mid year you'll also find that you start closing old doors, for it's from the 12th June that you'll begin the process of preparing for a Jupiter return in 2013 and some major new beginnings.

Love
As is always the case at the start of each year there is a lot of focus on your relationships, but very little, if anything, on the romantic front. With the Sun in your relationship sector until the 21st January and Mercury, planet of communication until the 28th January, it's the early weeks of the year that will define your relationship expectations and intentions, putting your stamp on the coming year. Yet despite the focus on your relationships this year and the fact that Pluto is staying here until 2024, to spice things up, this is not a dominant relationship year. Venus, planet of love won't visit your relationship sector at all in 2012 and you'll have no New Moons here. Venus visited your relationship sector in December 2011 and will return in January 2013, which is when you had your last New Moon and will have your next New Moon here. Apart from a chance to get your relationships on track in the early weeks of the year, the love gods are happy to let things run their own course. But if 2012 is not a major relationship year it is most definitely a major year for all things romantic, though you will have to wait for the second half of the year. Venus, planet of love normally returns to your sign around the time of your birthday, but this year she's a little late, but in terms of the huge romantic developments this year she's right on time. For returning to your sign from the 8th August to the 7th September Venus will be here when the North Node shifts into your romantic sector on the 30th August, which in turn sets the scene for a total solar eclipse, marking the potential for major new beginnings on the 14th November. Where the North Node is indicates where fate, destiny and the future will come together and here from the 30th August 2012 to the 19th February 2014 this is no flash in the pan. It's Saturn's return to your romantic sector on the 6th October, a visit that won't run its course until September 2015 that cements what the North Node and November's eclipse begins and while you'll have some very romantically charged months from the 24th August to the 16th December, this is just the start of one of the biggest and most romantic journeys in your lifetime.

Money
You have had your fair share of tough financial years in the past and for a sign that prefers financial stability or certainty; it's the roller coaster rides you don't like. It doesn't really matter if you're dealing with financial challenges or opportunities, for you're equally adept at dealing with and making the most of both, it's the uncertainty and the constant shifts that you don't like. Whether fate deals you a good financial year or a bad financial year matters less to you than other signs, so long as it makes up its mind and sticks to one or the other. For the reality is that you take to bad financial years like a duck to water and they usually end up being good years, for you're well versed in turning lemons into lemonade. 2012 is the first year since as far back as 1995 that you're finally able to get off the roller coaster. For with Neptune in your financial sector since 1998 and Uranus before him, no planet could move through your income sector, at any time of year, without moving into opposition and creating challenges. On the 4th February, Neptune will leave your financial sector, he won't return in your lifetime and there'll be no major planetary activity here until 2020, which is destined to be a power financial year. It's not that Neptune is a problem, for he's charged with cementing your financial dreams for the future, it's the potential for ups and downs this creates. Venus is in your financial sector as you move into the New Year, working with Neptune until she leaves on the 14th January to cement your financial desires and dreams for the future. When the Sun moves through your financial sector from the 21st January to the 19th February and Mercury from the 28th January to the 14th February, this will be their last encounter with Neptune here in your lifetime, so they will be working on how to combine the dream and the reality in a way that allows you to move forward with confidence. The real benefit from Neptune's departure from your financial sector won't come until the middle months of the year. For when Mercury returns to your income sector from the 26th June to the 1st September and the Sun from the 22nd July to the 23rd July, for the first time since 1995 there's no pressure, opposition or roadblocks from planets in your financial sector, for there will be none there. The same will be the case when Venus moves through from the 7th September to the 3rd October. Expect the period from Mercury's arrival on the 26th June to Venus' departure on the 3rd October to be the most lucrative months of the year.

Business
This is one professional year when what you see is what you get, for you are very familiar with the forces in play on both fronts. While this means that there will be no nasty surprises and there are few if any roadblocks with Uranus, planet of surprise and synchronicity in your career sector until March 2019, you do need to keep your mind and your options open. In fact, if you do encounter professional stress or pressure it's more likely to be self imposed, coming from a need to know the answers or to control things, when in fact you need to take your hands off the wheel and trust. You move into the year with Mercury and the North Node in your work sector and while Mercury will leave on the 8th January, this allows you to move into your new professional year working smarter, with your thinking cap on and with a clear sense of direction. It was the planetary activity in your work sector in the closing months of 2011 and the solar eclipse here in November that has provided a tailwind that will keep things on track until a lunar eclipse here on the 4th June. However, with Mars not returning to your work sector until the 7th October, with things then active for the rest of the year, this will allow you to pace yourself, realising that you're running a marathon and not a sprint. This leaves you free to focus on a professional surge that is likely to take place on the career front in the early part of the year, kicking off with Venus' return to your career sector on the 8th February. This is around a month earlier than you would expect to find Venus here, so you may be surprised in how early your professional desires kick in, how strong they are and by the opportunities that this is likely to attract. With Uranus working behind the scenes he's building opportunities that need triggers to activate them and the faster moving planets are that trigger. So anything that has been building on the career front throughout 2011 and the early weeks of 2012 is likely to come to a head during Venus' visit from 8th February to the 5th March, Mercury's from the 3rd to the 24th March and again from the 17th April to the 9th May and the Sun's from the 20th March to the 20th April. The Sun, Mercury and Venus will all align with Uranus, bringing things building behind the scenes to a tipping or turning point. This is making the whole period from the 8th February to the 9th May, a period of almost exactly 3 months, the most important professional months of 2012.

Don't be surprised if you're feeling underwhelmed by the New Year hype, with one year seeming to blur into the next without any real contrast, mainly because the future will be slow to grab your attention. You're in the final phase of a 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion that began in 2001 and until Jupiter returns to your sign on the 26th June, kicking off your luckiest and most expansive year since then and a brand new 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion, the focus is more on bringing things home and finishing what is already on the table. There are a lot of loose ends to tie up and to bring home across many aspects of your life and in your mind anyway, 2013 won't really begin until 6 months into the year. Jupiter will return to your sign just 5 days after the Sun returns to your sign and your new solar year begins, which is when your future or your next life chapter begins. Meanwhile, while your year might get off with a lot of focus on your work situation, this is not going to be a year where work matters dominate. The early days of the month will be important for putting things on the track you want them to continue on, March and April will be good months on the career front and things will pick up again on the work front in October, but for the most part finding a balance between work and play shouldn't be a problem. The one thing missing this year are the work/life balance challenges of the past and with Saturn spending the whole year in your romantic and creative sector, you'll find that putting yourself and matters of the heart first are a lot easier and that you're more willing to say ‘no' to outside demands, more willing to put yourself first. Meanwhile, while the year begins with a lot of focus on money as for the first time since 2000 you move into the year with Mars in your financial sector and for the first time since 1994 the Moon in your income sector, this isn't going to be a dominant theme all year. Any income opportunities or developments in January are likely to come from the hard work put in, in the final months of 2012. Meanwhile, Mars' financial passions and fighting spirit will give you a chance to take your power back, but the focus will shift from your financial game by late February. The best months of 2013 for income matters will be the period from the 28th June to the 16th October, with most things likely to come together in the last 6 weeks.

Love:
You have reached one of your most important years for love and romance in decades and after years of drought the love gods have finally come through for you, deciding that your time has come. There isn't a moment of 2013 that your romantic and relationship sectors won't be active, with Pluto in your relationship sector from 2008 to 2024, Saturn in your romantic sector from October 2013 to September 2015 and the North Node in your romantic sector from August 2012 to February 2015. It's been decades since you've had this kind of support on either front, let alone at the same time. While Saturn will ask that you take your love life seriously, taking responsibility for your own destiny, the North Node is introducing the element of fate and that will be especially evident during a solar eclipse in your romantic sector on the 4th November, the second in as many years. This will make Venus' return to your sign from the 3rd June to the 28th June even more significant, allowing the planet of love to point these powerful romantic forces in the right direction. While the love gods will be at work on both the romantic and relationship fronts all year, there are times of the year when they'll throw in more resources than others. While things ease back a little on the romantic front in the early weeks of the year, this gives you a chance to make your relationships a priority. Until Venus leaves your relationship sector on the 2nd February you have a chance to establish what you want from your relationships and what they need from you and to put things on the right track. After that relationship forces will settle back to a constant pace, with the door open to second chances between the 13th April and the 21st September, with a fresh wave of enthusiasm hitting your relationships from the 5th November onwards. Meanwhile, the most active months of the year on the romantic front will run from the 11th September to the 11th November, a period of exactly 2 months. A lunar eclipse in your romantic sector on the 26th April could deliver some unexpected surprises. There will be some once in a lifetime conditions on the relationship front from November 2013 to March 2014, suggesting there will be something special happening by then.

Money:
While this is not a particularly eventful or out of the ordinary year on the money front, with a period of income potential in the middle months of the year and the most important financial months found in the first 2 months of the year, what is extraordinary is the way it begins. You're no stranger to having planetary activity in your financial sector as you move into the New Year and in fact the last time there wasn't was in 1995, so your biggest surprise would be that there was none. It's not that you have planetary influence and therefore the money gods at work that is extraordinary, rather the planet that is there. In the past it's been Neptune and Uranus, very slow planets that were on missions that would take several years and therefore had little, if any urgency. For the first time since 2000 you're moving into the year with Mars, warrior planet of the cosmos in your financial sector and with your financial passions and fighting spirit engaged. Yet while you experienced this 13 years ago, back then this was bridled financial passion, held in check by Neptune and Uranus' more long term agenda. The last time you moved into the New Year with only Mars in your financial sector and your financial passions and fighting spirit unbridled was in 1983, getting your financial year off to a dream start. While Mars will leave your financial sector on the 2nd February, with the Sun moving through from the 20th January to the 19th February, Mercury and his smart head for money from the 19th January and Venus from the 2nd February to the 26th February, this is giving you plenty of time to bring things home. Apart from a pair of Full Moons in your financial sector, on the 23rd July and the 21st August, this is all the active support the money gods will give your overall financial situation and matters this year. However, there is still more to come on the income front, with January holding some surprise developments. For the first time since 1994 you'll move into the New Year with the Moon in your income sector and therefore with a nose for money, coming full circle to form a Full Moon here on the 27th January. With no ongoing planetary activity in your income sector, this allows you to jump the gun and get your income situation or matters off to a good start, in the early weeks of the year. After that you'll have to wait until mid year, with two separate chapters each holding real potential and income opportunities. The first period runs from the 28th June to the 24th August and the second from the 28th August to the 16th October.

Business:
Your busiest months of any year will always be November and December, with the Sun always spending the final 8 days of November and the first 3 weeks of December in your work sector. This year is no exception, except for the fact that Mercury and Venus, who will always travel with the Sun, have yet to wrap things up for 2012 when you move into the New Year. With Mars having returned in October 2012, Mercury not leaving until New Years Day and Venus until the 9th January, this busy phase began earlier than usual and has extended into the early days of 2013, getting your 2013 professional year off to a good start. With Uranus having only just turned direct in your career sector mid December this gives you a running start for the year. However, once Venus leaves on the 9th January, while everyone else is heading back to work after their holiday break, chances are that's when you're finally ready to slow down a little. Once you've gained the momentum you need, you know what you want and on the work and career fronts things are on the right track you can let things glide a little, knowing that there is another surge coming up in March. It begins with Mars' return to your career sector on the 11th March and continues through to Mercury's departure on the 2nd May. During that time the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars will all move through your career sector, all aligning with Uranus, planet of surprise and synchronicity and all contributing to pushing you one or two more rungs up the ladder of success. With Uranus in your career sector until 2019 things will never go off the boil, but once you reach the 2nd May the main professional thrust for the year will be over and it will be more about keeping things on track. It's a pair of lunar eclipses that will keep the momentum going and bring some surprise developments midyear, with a lunar eclipse in your work sector on the 25th May and in your career sector on the 19th October, each bringing unexpected developments. In the same way that work forces got off to an early start in 2012 and extended out into the early days of 2013 the same will happen this year, with Venus returning to your work sector on the 8th October and Mercury not wrapping things up until the 9th January 2014. Venus will be in your work sector when the lunar eclipse falls in your career sector on the 19th October and with the laws of synchronicity and attraction both in effect, all I can say is watch this space!
