2012 Horoscope

2012 holds no nasty surprises, for the challenges you are likely to face are those you are already familiar with, all your cards are on the table and you're dealing with a known quantity. You've had Saturn in your financial sector since October 2009 and after some real challenges and ups and downs since then and while Saturn will continue to hold you to account, you know what you're dealing with, what's required of you and where you need to take responsibility. While Saturn will keep you on your toes until he leaves on the 6th October, this is a game you're familiar with and should also be starting to reap the rewards from. With Uranus in your income sector until 2019 and with February, March and April likely to be lucrative months, this is a year for taking your financial power back. When Saturn leaves your financial sector you'll have lived through and graduated from some of the toughest financial years you'll ever live through and very much the master of your own destiny. Where in previous years this may have made it all about the money, this year this is more likely to be an adjunct, something that you're dealing with but not your main priority. 2012 is an important year for relationships, with Mars spending an epic 8 months in your relationship sector, his longest visit in 47 years. Having arrived in November 2011 and due to stay until the 4th July, Mars is enjoying the full support of Jupiter in your communication sector and Pluto in your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking, making the first half of the year in particular extremely important for relationship and friendship building. On the 12th June, Jupiter will return to your home and family sector, kicking off a very auspicious and expansive 12 months for home and family matters. If there are to be big changes on the home and family front it's more likely to happen between June 2012 and June 2013. It's in the later months of the year that you'll find that your life will begin opening up and there may even be opportunities for travel or learning.

Love
Every year has its ups and it's downs, you will have low key romantic and relationship years, auspicious ones and challenging ones and until you unwrap it, you're not really sure what you have. This year, however, you can be fairly sure that the focus will be on your relationships, but not in the challenging way that it has been in previous years, when between September 2007 and mid 2010 you had Saturn in your relationship sector. It was Mars' return to your relationship sector on the 11th November 2011 for what should be a 6 week visit that sees you move into the New Year with the planet of passion and the warrior planet of the cosmos still here. However, instead of getting ready to move on Mars is instead digging in his heels and is refusing to leave, turning retrograde on the 24th January, a move that ensures that he won't be leaving anytime soon. Instead Mars will remain in retrograde motion until the 14th April, opening the door to second chances and an opportunity to retrace your steps, though if there are things from the past that need addressing, a passion and a need to take action will make it hard to keep your head in the sand. This retrograde phase will slow Mars down, turning what is normally a 6 week visit into a nearly 8 month visit by the time he leaves on the 4th July, his longest visit to your relationship sector in 47 years. This makes 2012 a powerful relationship year and with the planet of passion and war on your side a chance to spice things up, to fight for what you want and against what you don't want. No other planets will visit your relationship sector while Mars is here, but with the Sun returning on the 23rd August, Mercury on the 1st September and Venus on the 3rd October, you'll have until the end of October to bring things home. The forces in your relationship sector will dwarf what's happening on the romantic front, making it important to focus as much on your love life as possible while there is planetary activity in your romantic sector, which there will be from the 7th June to the 22nd July and again from the 8th August to the 7th September, when Venus' visit will create some of the most romantic weeks of the year.

Money
After some very tough money years, with Uranus' position in your income sector and Saturn's position in your financial sector coming into conflict, things are evening out this year. By the time you move into the New Year, Saturn will be at the very end of your financial sector and having covered all the ground he's going to, all your cards are on the table. But instead of leaving, Saturn will turn retrograde on the 8th February and until he turns direct on the 25th June, this will give you a chance to retrace your steps, play the cards already dealt and learn from the past. With Mars not returning to your financial sector until the 4th July, kicking off some very important and active months on the financial front, this leaves the first half of the year free to focus on your income opportunities. Uranus, planet of surprise and synchronicity is in your income sector until March 2019, so this is a work in progress and so long as you keep your mind and your options open, letting life surprise you, then despite any pressure in the past you're on an upward curve. Because Uranus is here for so long he'll operate more in the background, but when the faster moving planets come along they act as triggers, which is when you're likely to see most movement on the income front. This year it's Venus that kicks things off and as the planet of money and desire her weeks in your income sector, from the 8th February to the 5th March are likely to be some of the most lucrative of the year. The Sun will move through from the 20th March to the 20th April, providing more transparency and objectivity while Mercury will make two visits, both giving you a smart head for money, the first from the 3rd to the 24th March and then a double dip visit from the 17th April to the 9th May. As each planet moves into your income sector they'll align with Uranus, triggering income situations that have been poised at a tipping point or waiting for the right conditions. However, they will also move into opposition with Saturn in your financial sector, creating some financial pressure or tension, yet it's important to see these are wake up calls. As this will be the most lucrative time of the year on the income front, falling asleep at the wheel is not an option and sometimes you really do need some pressure to get you to perform at your best and seize all the potential on offer. This won't be a time for taking care of any financial housekeeping, which will happen later in the year, but you do need to heed in any wake calls. The last thing you'll want, during the lucrative months of the year, is to have money coming in one end only to drain out the other end.

Business
On both the career and work fronts, what you see as you move into your new professional year is what you get, with most of your cards already on the table. A very active phase on the work front only ran its course on the 11th November 2011, giving you enough momentum and all the resources you need to keep things in motion before you get your next infusion of energy midyear. On the career front you're in a similar situation, except this is more a work in progress, with Mercury in your career sector until the 8th January and the North Node until the 30th August. The North Node isn't a cosmic body but its position here is creating a natural gravitational pull, with the eclipses this creates bringing things to a crossroads or to an important turning or tipping point, usually representing the peak of what has been building beneath the surface. With a solar eclipse in your career sector in November 2011 and one more eclipse to play out, a lunar eclipse on the 4th June, this is still a work in progress. However, with Mercury leaving on the 8th January it's important to move into 2012 with your thinking cap on, working on your professional choices, decisions and plans for the year, whether you're on holiday or back to work. With no more planetary activity in your work sector until Mars returns on the 7th October, starting the way you intend to go on is imperative. Once Mercury leaves your career sector on the 8th January there'll be no more planetary activity until Mercury returns to your work sector on the 26th June. This will kick off the most active months of the year on the work front, where you're likely to see the most action and achieve the most progress. This period kicks off with Mercury on the 26th June but doesn't run its course until Venus leaves on the 3rd October, spanning the middle months of 2012. At the same time Mars' return to your career sector on the 7th October will bring a new wave of activity and movement on the professional front, which won't run its course until early 2013. So while 2012 can't be defined as a powerful professional year and your professional game won't be the main game in town, there is enough momentum and two very clear periods for work and career opportunities and a lunar eclipse that is likely to be a wildcard, to label this as a good professional year.
2013 Horoscope

After some very tough years you have finally arrived at a year you can enjoy and simply embrace. The real winners this year are the 3 waters signs and whether you're a Pisces, Cancer or Scorpio you all benefit from the powerful forces in play on each front. With Saturn spending the whole year in Scorpio, ruler of your sector of travel, adventure, learning and discovery Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies and your ruling planet his first full year in your sign, in your lifetime and Jupiter returning to Cancer, ruler of your romantic and creative sector on the 26th June, this makes this a year for following your dreams, your heart and a sense of adventure. Yet even more important than what you do have is what you don't have. For the first time since 2008 Saturn, the hard taskmaster of the cosmos won't show up in your financial sector and it will be decades before he and his financial challenges return. What you also don't have is the 8 months Mars spent in your relationship sector last year and the personal and/or relationship tension this created. However, what you do have is the benefits gained from having to raise the bar, without having to relive the challenges again. This makes 2013 one of the best years you've encountered in decades, with the right conditions coming together at the right time, to take away some of the seriousness and the responsibilities of the past, with a chance to make up for lost time. You'll still retain your edge, especially on the financial and professional fronts. With a lot of planetary activity in your career sector in the later months of 2012, which will spill into the early days of 2013, the Moon in your work sector for the first time while you move into the New Year since 1994 and a Full Moon here on the 27th January, you'll have a professional edge from the get go. With March and April the most lucrative months of the year on the income front, it won't be long before you start to see the benefits from this head start. The first half of the year and especially May and June are especially good months for home, family and or property matters, which is when anything you've been working towards is likely to come together.

Love:
While you moved into 2012 with Mars in your relationship sector that was an aberration of the norm, for it's not that often that you will move into the New Year with planetary activity in either your romantic or relationships sectors and as that's the case this year, this is nothing to be alarmed at. However, what this will do is give you a false impression of what the love gods have in store for you this year, giving the impression that this is just another run around the block, with nothing noteworthy or different from the norm. What you don't have are last year's relationship challenges, so even from that viewpoint this year is looking good, especially as you gained far more than it cost you on the relationship front, leaving you with a clear sense of resolve, of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you and how to walk the talk. Apart from a Full Moon in your relationship sector on the 26th February and a period of planetary activity kicking off from Venus' return to your relationship sector on the 23rd July, to Mercury's departure on the 9th September and again from the 16th October to the 8th December, this is a fairly typical year on the relationship front, with a chance to keep things on track. However, it's not on the relationship front that something extraordinary is developing this year, but on the romantic front instead. You'll find clues to this when Venus, planet of love moves through your sign from the 26th February to the 22nd March, with the romantic desires and expectations she inspires likely to raise the bar, to a point where they might not seem realistic. But what Venus can see that you can't is that by then you'll be just 3 months away from the start of your luckiest year for love and romance in over a decade, that will kick off on the 26th June and will run until the 16th July 2014. This is when Jupiter, planet of luck will make his once in a 12 year visit to your romantic sector and the love gods will send of flotilla of planetary support to welcome him in. With Mercury, planet of communication in your romantic sector from the 31st May to the 9th August, Venus, planet of love from the 3rd June to the 28th June and the Sun from the 21st June to the 22nd July, they'll all be here when Jupiter returns. Even Mars, planet of passion will move through your romantic sector from the 14th July to the 28th August, with his romantic passions able to get this lucky year for love off on the right foot.

Money:
The best things about your financial year and what the money gods have on the menu, is less about what is here and more about what isn't here. For the first time since 2009 you're moving into the New Year without Saturn, the hard taskmaster of the cosmos in your financial sector and without the challenges and the tough demands this has put on you in previous years. This also means that there is no more pressure on Uranus in your income sector, so as well as the hard financial asks and challenges of the past behind you, you're likely to find that you're feeling a lot more confident when it comes to your income options. However, while Saturn has gone you've been left with a lot of financial resilience, wisdom and experience, a living and breathing example of the concept of what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. With Saturn gone from your financial sector there is no ongoing planetary activity and apart from a Full Moon on the 27th March, it won't be until August that the money gods will shift their focus to financial matters as a whole. This makes it up to you to manage things yourself, in your own way and your own time in the first half of the year, but as you've just graduated from the School of Hard Knocks, that shouldn't be a problem. Meanwhile, with Uranus in your income sector until 2019 there won't be a moment of 2013 that the planet of surprise and synchronicity won't be active, but what will change is the degree. Uranus will be a lot more active and therefore you're more likely to experience Eureka moments and unexpected opportunities on the income front when the faster planets move through, which begins with Mars' return on the 11th March and will end with Mercury's departure on the 2nd May. A period of just under 2 months, apart from around the time of a lunar eclipse in your income sector on the 19th October, these should be some of the most lucrative weeks of the year. You've had this in previous years, but with Saturn in opposition over in your financial sector, this also came with a side order of financial pressures and tensions, which are absent this year. You'll have a chance to address things on the financial front as a whole when Venus moves through from the 17th August to the 11th September, Mercury from the 9th September to the 30th September and the Sun from the 23rd September to the 23rd October. Use that time to get financial matters on the right track, for on the 8th December Mars will return to your financial sector, bringing his financial passions and fighting spirit with him. Not due to leave until May 2014, this will be Mars' longest visit in 31 years.

Business:
Apart from the fact that you wrapped up 2012 with Venus and Mercury in your career sector, this was more a case of your 2012 professional year not having had a chance to fully run its course, with a small spill over into 2013. With Mercury leaving your career sector on New Year's Day and Venus on the 9th January, this does however give you a chance to move into the New Year with an intellectually savvy edge and your professional desires and expectations well defined. After that you are on your own, which is usually the case until the second half of the year, which is for you always the most active half. But what you have is a concentrated period of activity on the work and career fronts in the second half of each year, making the first half of the next year all about letting that play out and working with what is already on the table. However, the advantage that you do have this year is that for the first time since 1994 you'll move into the New Year with the Moon in your work sector and coming full circle as a Full Moon on the 27th January, this will provide an unexpected boost on the work front, mainly because of timing. There is nothing exceptional about having the Moon in your work sector, as he visits every 4 weeks, but having him there as you move into the New Year and as you're forming your first impressions of the year ahead, is something that you haven't experienced in 19 years and to be able to back that up with a Full Moon 4 weeks later, allows you to cement any intentions forged in those crucial first hours of the year. After that things will remain fairly quiet, as is always the case, with no planetary activity in either professional house until July and only a lunar eclipse in your career sector on the 25th May to keep things on track. Things will start to move on the work front when Venus returns to your work sector on the 28th June. While she'll leave on the 23rd July, with the Sun here from the 22nd July to the 23rd August, Mercury from the 9th August to the 24th August and Mars from the 28th August to the 16th October, once the momentum starts it will continue. A New Moon on the 7th August will provide an opportunity for new beginnings. It's while Mars is still in your work sector that Venus will reach your career sector, kicking off a period of planetary activity that will begin with her arrival on the 8th November and will run its course with Mercury's departure on Christmas Day. A New Moon on the 3rd December will open the door to new opportunities or beginnings.
