Mars, planet of passion returned to your romantic sector on the 11th November 2011 for what should be a 6 week visit, but as you move into 2012 he's not only still here, he's digging in his toes and refusing to leave. Ever since the North Node moved into your financial sector and the South Node in your income sector on the 4th March 2011 you've been in a process of defining your bottom lines on the income front and reassessing your overall financial priorities and expectations. On both fronts, even when there was planetary activity in your income and financial sectors there was a sense that you were moving towards something and that something is 2012. On the financial front much has already been decided or assessed, with a lot of planetary activity in your financial sector, including a solar eclipse in November, having put most of your cards on the table. While Mercury is still in your financial sector as you move into 2012, he'll leave on the 8th January and with Mars not returning to your financial sector until the 7th October, Mercury until the 29th October, the Sun until the 22nd November and Venus not until the 16th December, with the North Node leaving on the 30th August the early days of the year are the important days for putting things on the track that you want them to continue on. For the reality is that 2012 is one of your biggest, luckiest, most expansive and auspicious income years on record and it all kicks off with Venus' return to your income sector on the 4th April. On both the work and career fronts the focus this year is on tying up loose ends and putting things on the path or track that they will continue on, on the work front for decades to come but on the career front most probably for the rest of your professional life. Yet this is where the similarities end, for while forces on both fronts are working towards the same end results, their methods of getting there couldn't be more different. Yet despite the differences there is a huge amount of support between them. This puts you in an extremely good position as you move into 2012, with the confidence to take the coming year by storm, assuming from the get go that you own it. On the career front you have Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies and on the work front you have pragmatic and stern Saturn, with one asking that you reach for the stars and the other that you keep your feet on the ground. Yet they also move into the year at an extremely positive angle to each other, revealing that your professional dreams and pragmatism, attention to detail and willingness to do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes on the work front, are in fact flip sides to the same coin. On the work front the agenda is a lot less urgent, with Saturn not leaving your work sector until the 7th October. In fact, the whole first half of 2012 is about working behind the scenes on the work front, slowly, surely and methodically working away at doing what needs to be done, even if that means out of the limelight. Things will become more active on the work front when Mars returns on the 4th July, kicking off a busy and defining period on the work front that won't run its course until the 22nd November.

The most powerful themes shaping your year are on the income and relationship fronts. While you may find it hard to believe that you have lucky Jupiter in your income sector as you move into 2013, especially after the financial tension and challenges in the later months of 2012, by the time you reach May the money gods will send out all the right reinforcements that you need to bring things home. While Jupiter will leave your income sector on the 26th June, from as early as the 10th May the planets will start returning one by one, until you reach a point where you're ready to bring things home. While things may not be moving in the early weeks of the year, you have until the 14th July to bring things home. You'll find that income matters get a real push from some very active professional forces in the first 2 months of the year. In other areas of your life you'll find the best months of the year for home, family and/or property matters are July and August, however a Full Moon on the 27th January will bring a chance to get anything stalled or stuck up to speed in the early weeks of the year. You'll find the period from the 23rd July to the 23rd September some of the most romantic of the year, until this is dwarfed by some very romantically charged weeks, from the 16th October to the 8th December. There seems to be something special developing on the travel front later in the year, kicking off in the early days of December but stretching out to March 2014. This might be unexpected but it's a nice surprise, so watch this space!

This is without a doubt your biggest and most important relationship year in decades, for there isn't a moment of the year that you don't have the support to take your relationships to the highest possible level. For the first time since 1985 you'll move into the New Year with Saturn and for the first time since 1993, the North Node in your relationship sector. While you've moved into the New Year with Saturn's call for integrity and ability to strengthen your relationship commitment and the North Node's sense of direction and the element of fate and destiny this brings into play before, you've never in your lifetime moved into the New Year with both. Having teamed up in early October 2012 this is something that you're still adjusting to, having spent the later months of 2012 working to ensure that the communication lines are open and that you have a clear sense of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you. Relationship forces will dominate the whole of 2013, making this one of, if not the most important relationship years on record. However, within that period the best relationship times of the year will run from the 11th September to the 5th December, culminating with another total solar eclipse in your relationship sector, the second in as many years, on the 4th November. This brings the promise of fateful new beginnings and an auspicious point to pledge a commitment to the future. However, a lot of water will pass under the bridge before then, with Saturn and the North Node taking your relationships on an incredible journey throughout the year. Romantic forces have nothing like that kind of support, with the most important romantic times of the year running from the 15th April to the 10th May, again from the 23rd July to the 5th September and finally from the 16th October to the 8th December. As you move into the New Year you're halfway through your luckiest and most expansive and opportune income year in over a decade, whether it seems that way or not. With Jupiter, planet of luck in your income sector from the 12th June 2012 to the 26th June 2013 and with everything likely to come together in May and June, this was never meant to be a quick fix and with Jupiter in retrograde motion until the 31st January it may even feel like things have become stalled or are moving backwards. That's especially so with some financial tension or challenges late last year, when Jupiter went head to head with forces on the financial front. You will move into 2013 with the remnants of last year's financial focus still in play, with Mercury not leaving your financial sector until the 1st January and Venus not until the 9th January. What is happening on the income front is far from that and while most things are in deep cover in the early months of the year, everything will start coming together when Venus moves through your income sector from the 10th May to the 3rd June, Mercury from the 16th May to the 31st June and the Sun from the 21st May to the 21st June. With Jupiter leaving your income sector on the 26th June, this is when you'll have a chance to bring things home, realising the full potential that lucky Jupiter is able to bring. Yet even after Jupiter leaves there'll be safeguards to ensure no opportunity slips through your fingers, with Mars here from the 31st May to the 14th July, engaging your passions and your fighting spirit.

For the first time since 2008 it's safe to move into a new working year without the fear of what you might strike, for this was the last time that you moved into the New Year without Saturn either already in your work sector or due to arrive during the course of the year. You said goodbye to Saturn in October 2012, with the hard taskmaster of the cosmos not returning for another 3 decades. Yet while this brought some real challenges, the worst being the unending endurance, work ethic and discipline he required, doing whatever it took for as long as it took, this has left you with not only the resilience but the fruits of past labours that will continue to yield opportunities for years to come. What you have this year, is a chance to rest on your laurels and let go of the relentless pace of the past, though you will find that things get a lot busier in the final weeks of the year. But as you move into the New Year you have no planetary activity in your work sector and won't until Venus returns in August, with the final months of the year likely to be the busiest.
