Taurus 2020

2020 Overview

Taurus Horoscope
While Uranus, the planet of surprise, synchronicity and the unexpected and the planet charged with helping you to find your personal truth returned to Taurus in 2018 and 2019, this is the first time you have moved into the New Year with him here. Here now until 2026, you are now in the first full, land locked year where there is no let up or stand down when it comes to breaking through barriers, old masks and layers of conforming to what you think others expect from you. Uranus first returned to Taurus in May 2018, for the first time in eight decades, only to retrograde back out again five months later. Uranus returned again last year but not until March, after the year had been underway for two months. This year you begin with Uranus here and from the get go this allows you to make this the year when you take your power back and live your personal truth.

What makes this exciting is that there is a massive amount of powerful planetary activity in an adventurous part of your chart this year and all the planets arriving there will form friendly aspects to Uranus. So as well as 2020 being a year for finding yourself and your personal truth, this is also a year where there is the potential for adventure, travel, learning and discovery. Uranus is encouraging you to live your life more authentically and a powerful line up of planets in an adventurous part of your chart provides a chance to make that life as broad and far reaching as possible. Having Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto in your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery is the dominant theme this year, second only to Uranus’s quest for your personal truth and the two are going hand in hand. However, there is also something exciting developing on the professional and income fronts that suggest that this year could have unexpected and exciting developments on both fronts.

This is something that you won’t see coming, but a series of events in the second part of March and the early days of April will change the dynamics of your professional and financial year. It begins with Saturn’s return to your career sector on 22nd March, for the first time in three decades. Saturn will retrograde back out again on 2nd July, with the hard taskmaster of the cosmos but also the planet that can give you the power to move mountains using this as a chance to set some things in motion. For this is a stepping stone to Saturn’s return on 17th December and Jupiter’s on 20th December, where together they will dominate 2021. It is just days later that Mars will return to your career sector on 31st March, for his first visit in two years. What makes the timing of Mars and Saturn’s return to your career sector auspicious is that on 4th April Venus will return for what should be a 24 day visit to your income sector, creating some of the most potentially lucrative weeks of any year. Instead, Venus will spend the next four months here, not leaving until 8th August.

The year begins with Mars in your relationship sector but gone by 3rd January, this is more a case of the final days of an extensive amount of focus on your relationships last year spilling into the early days of this year. Either way, this allows you to begin the year with your relationships a priority and regardless of the experiences from last year, with a good sense of what you are fighting for from the get go. It is just a week after Mars leaves that the Moon will not only return to your communication sector on 10th January but as an eclipsing Full Moon. If Mars leaves you with a lot of strong emotional responses, the past and unsaid words a voice on the relationship front, this will be a chance to get them a voice. This will also be a defining point in defining what you want from your relationships and what they need from you.

After that, apart from a romantically charged Full Moon on 10th March and a Full Moon in your relationship sector on 7th May, there will be no planetary activity on the romantic or relationship fronts until the second half of the year. However you do have Venus, the planet of love returning to Taurus from 5th March to 4th April. This will allow Venus to move through before your birthday month and new solar year begins, with a chance to make sure that when the Sun does return to Taurus you already know what you want from matters of the heart and your relationships. In the meantime, it is in the second half of the year that you will find all the planetary activity on the romantic and relationship fronts, which is usually the case.

On the romantic front, this runs from 20th August to 28th October, with the final 25 days the most romantically charged. On the relationship front, after Mars leaves your relationship sector in the early days of the year, the next planet to arrive will be Mercury, on 27th September. It is fitting that it is Mercury, planet of communication who kicks things off, especially as he will spend quite a bit of time here this year. Normally spending just 14 to 15 days giving your relationships a voice, Mercury will spend a month here before a retrograde turn on 14th October will see him retrograde back out, only to return for a second visit from 11th November to 2nd December. In that time Venus, planet of love will return and not leaving until 16th December, she will have the final say on relationship matters in 2020.

Because Jupiter only left your financial sector in December 2019 and the Sun only left just before Christmas, the fact that you begin the year with no planetary activity here or in your income sector still puts more focus on money matters. With continuous planetary activity in your financial sector since October 2018 and Mercury having just left in the closing days of 2019, what you have in the New Year is a chance to take your money hat off. This is just a short break for by 3rd January Mars, the warrior planet of the cosmos will be here to fuel your financial passions and fighting spirit, through to his departure on 17th February. This is less the start of anything new and more a chance to exploit the potential created last year. Unlike your income sector, where there are some exciting developments this year, your financial sector is more focused on what you do with and how you manage the money you have. This makes this a chance to spend the first six weeks of the year taking your financial power back.

After that, there will be no planetary activity in either of your two money houses until two events are set to change the dynamics of this whole financial year. The first event is Venus’ return to your income sector on 4th April, an ordinary event that is set to have extraordinary consequences. Ordinary because Venus, the planet of money returns once a year, with the 24 days she usually spends here the most potentially lucrative of any year. Extraordinary because Venus won’t just spend 24 days here and instead won’t leave until 8th August, over four months later. This is because of a retrograde turn on 13th May, which until turning direct on 25th June will open the doors to the past, second chances and untapped income potential. It is during that time that the Sun and Mercury will move through but it is 16 days before the Sun’s return on 21st May that the second event that will change the dynamics of this financial year takes place.

On 5th May the lunar nodes will move into your two money houses and this will have implications on both fronts. The South Node, which is more about the past and completion, will return to your financial sector where there is a chance to capitalise on all the planetary activity here last year and during Mars’ time here in the first six weeks of the year. At the same time the North Node, which is all about the future, new potential and on steering things in a lucrative direction, will return to your income sector on 5th May. The North Node is the second luckiest force in the solar system behind Jupiter, with its first visit to your income sector in 17 years coming just as Venus is spending four months here. Until leaving in January 2022 the lunar nodes bring opportunities on both sides of the financial fence, while also policing a balance between money coming in and money going out.

While you begin the year with planets on the job and career fronts, neither are significant enough to lead you to believe that this is anything other than an ordinary professional year. However, in saying that the year definitely gets off to a good start. It was in November, just as all planetary activity on the job front last year was running its course that the asteroid Juno, queen of commitment returned for what should have been a chance to spend two months cementing a sense of resolve, committing to a game plan and resolutions. This allows you to begin the year with some clear objectives and a sense of conviction on the job front. However, instead of leaving in the early weeks of the year, as she should, a retrograde phase will keep Juno here until 20th September. With Mercury, the first of the faster planets returning to your work sector on 6th September, this creates an unusual amount of continuity.

However, Juno is only an asteroid and won’t get things moving on the job front as the Sun, Mercury and Venus can, from 6th September through to 11th November. However, Juno will provide a steady hand at the helm, allowing you to keep work and job matters on a straight line and to maintain a sense of conviction and resolve. This is good news for work and job matters, providing enough support to keep things on track but not to the degree that this will make demands. In the meantime, having returned just before Christmas, the year begins with Venus in your career sector. This allows you to also begin the year with your professional confidence, desires and expectations fuelled. This will give your heart a voice in the first two weeks of the year and as the planet of money, a chance to also steer things in a lucrative direction. It is a week after Venus leaves that the Sun will return to your career sector on 21st January in order to throw the solar spotlight on your career and professional situation, matters and options, as he does at this time every year.

With the Sun gone by 19th February, Mercury only here from 17th January to 4th February and neither they nor Venus returning until 2021, all planetary activity on the career front will be over by the end of February. Even if that was the case, which it isn’t, that would be fairly typical and what you would expect in terms of planetary activity on the career front each year. It is just over a month later that things take an exciting and extraordinary turn, one that takes things out of the realms of what you would expect in a typical professional year and into the game changing realm. It begins with Saturn’s return to your career sector on 22nd March, followed by Mars just days later on 31st March. As this is Saturn’s first visit in three decades it is also the first time they have met up here in three decades. Mars is here until 13th May and Saturn will retrograde back out on 2nd July. However, Saturn will not only return on 17th December but bring Jupiter with him, returning three days later on 20th December. Saturn’s return in March is preparation for what lies ahead, through to 2023.
