2012 is a real mixed bag of a year, one where you're likely to feel that you're still trying to find yourself well into the year. That's because as you move into the New Year you're in the final months of a Saturn cycle that began in 1982 and you've been winding down, processing and making sense of since late 2009. It was in October 2009 that Saturn began a wind down process that will take nearly 3 years to complete, of closing old doors, understanding and summing up where you've been and stripping away all the clutter from your life, ready to move on and embrace your future. You'll open the door to the future and a brand new Saturn cycle on the 6th October, with your birthday this year representing not only the start of a new solar year, but the start of a whole new life chapter, opening the door to a new 30 year long Saturn cycle. Until Saturn returns to your sign you'll need to look back to reflect, but this doesn't mean you'll spend the first 9 months of the year navel gazing, for life won't allow that. Instead the first half of the year is very focused on your personal life with Jupiter, planet of luck in your relationship sector until the 12th June and Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies returning to your romantic sector on the 4th February, where he'll remain until 2026. On both the romantic and relationship fronts there is a lot of second chances, but also opportunities for a fresh start, with both Jupiter and Neptune starting over or going back to something that started last year, but put on hold. At the same time 2012 is a powerful and potentially lucky and expansive financial year, especially from the 4th April onwards. It's Venus' 4 months in your financial sector, from the 4th April the 8th April that hosts some major events, including a solar eclipse, a Venus eclipse and Jupiter, planet of luck's arrival. It's the 12 months from the 12th June 2012 to the 26th June 2013 that is likely to be your luckiest financial year in over a decade. A total solar eclipse in your sign on the 12th November, by which time Saturn will be here, indicates some major new beginnings on the personal front.

Love
How your love life will fair in any given year is determined by the planetary activity in your romantic and relationship sectors and whether the love gods are working alongside you and in 2012 they are, on both fronts. Yet none of this should take you by surprise, with the romantic and relationship conditions dominating this year the same as last year, except that on both fronts they move to a whole new level. Jupiter, planet of luck returned to your relationship sector last June, but a retrograde phase in the later months of 2011 saw him retrograde back to the very start again. Having only turned direct on the 26th December and not due to leave your relationship sector until the 12th June, Jupiter is making the early months of 2012 an opportune time for fresh starts, new beginnings and do overs, with both luck and hindsight on your side. While Jupiter's journey began last June, you have a chance to start over, holding onto the experiences already learned. With Venus, planet of love returning to your relationship sector from the 5th March to the 4th April, these will be some of the most auspicious relationship weeks of the year, in what is already an auspicious relationship year. Anything that transpired on the relationship front in 2011 was in preparation for this time. During the Sun's visit from the 20th April to the 21st May and Mercury's between the 9th and the 24th May you'll have a chance to tie up loose ends and with Jupiter in his final weeks put things on the path that you want them to continue on. A New Moon on the 21st April will create an opportunity for new beginnings. Even after Jupiter leaves your relationship sector on the 12th June you'll find it impossible to backtrack, with the bar forever raised. Things aren't too shabby on the romantic front either, with a major shift early in the year. It is Venus, planet of love's return to your romantic sector on the 14th January that sets the tone and engages your heart, ahead of Neptune's return on the 4th February. Once Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies returns to your romantic sector he'll stay until January 2026, opening the door to a 14 year period of romantic growth and potential. The Sun, Mercury and Venus will make the whole period, from the 14th January to the 17th April, one of getting things moving in the right direction.

With the South Node in your financial sector and the North Node in your income sector since the 4th March 2011, there has been a lot of focus on both your financial situation and income growth and potential for some time, to a point where to start with it is going to seem like more of the same. A solar eclipse in your income sector in November and a total lunar eclipse in your financial sector in December 2011 both helped to shake things up, to a point where you're moving into 2012 with a much clearer sense of resolve and where your bottom lines lie on the financial front as a whole and a lot more confidence in what's possible on the income front. Yet while the lunar nodes are positioned in your two money houses, the only planetary activity in either when you move into 2012 is Mercury, in his final days in your income sector. Due to leave on the 8th January, but return on the 29th October, Mercury is giving you a chance to move into the New Year with a smart head for money, but with your focus on the future. It's the seeds planted in the final months of 2011 and the early days of 2012 that are destined to bear fruit and come back full circle later in the year. Meanwhile, it's your financial situation as a whole that comes into the spotlight, especially from Venus' return to your financial sector on the 4th April. Normally here for just 3 weeks Venus will return to your financial sector on the 4th April, but won't leave until the 8th August. As the planet of money, desire and attraction Venus is here to evoke your financial desires and trigger the laws of attraction, but it's while she's here that Jupiter, planet of luck will arrive on the 12th June, kicking of your luckiest financial year in over a decade, a year that won't run its course until the 26th June 2013. It's during the Sun's visit to your financial sector between the 21st May and the 21st June that things are likely to start coming together on the financial front, putting you on a roll that will take another 12 months to play out. It's while Jupiter is in your financial sector that things will start to move again on the income front, which they will from the 7th October. Once things start to move on the income front they'll continue to unfold until the 9th January 2013, a 3 month period of income opportunity within what will by then be a lucky year for money. The most lucrative income weeks of the year are likely to be between 16th December 2012 to the 9th January 2013 but it's the period from the 7th October to the 17th November that will get the ball rolling.

Business
While 2012 isn't a major year and is more a flow on from previous years, by no stretch of the imagination will it be a slow or a quiet year. That was never going to be your reality once Uranus returned to your work sector in May 2010, but after a real thrust in mid 2010 and again in the early months of 2011 things have eased back to a more steady momentum. However with Uranus, planet of surprise and synchronicity in your work sector until March 2019 things won't be going back to the level that they were at before he arrived anytime soon and if anything your professional star is still on the rise, not peaking until 2014/2015. What you are running though is a marathon and not a sprint, where you'll have long periods where Uranus is working behind the scenes, working to open your mind and keep things fresh, without really pushing things and creating movement. With a major planet like Uranus here the focus is more on the long term and the entire race, but within this you'll have bursts of activity and things will fall into place. Those burst of activity will happen when the faster moving planets come along, acting as triggers, which will be the case in the first half of the year. It's Venus' move through your work sector, from the 8th February to the 5th March, the Sun's from the 20th March to the 20th April and Mercury's two visits, one from the 3rd to the 24th March and the second from the 17th April to the 9th May that is likely to see the most action on the work front. This will give you a chance to channel your energy into a specific time frame, with the most traction for the year able to be gained between the 8th February and the 9th May, a period of almost exactly 3 months. A New Moon on the 23rd March will be an auspicious time for new beginnings. On the career front there is no ongoing planetary activity and nothing to keep things moving once you've gained the right traction, as will happen on the work front. Instead, with your career sector only active while the Sun, Mercury and Venus move through, this creates a very finite period of career focus. Sensing the importance of this time for making professional decisions, choices and plans Mercury, who will normally spend just 15 to 16 days in your career sector, will instead spend over 2 months, arriving on the 26th June and not leaving until the 1st September. With the Sun moving through your career sector from the 22nd July to the 23rd August and Venus from the 7th September to the 3rd October, these will be the most important times of the year for career matters.

While there is a lot of focus on money matters in the early days of the New Year and maybe for all the wrong reasons, despite how it feels this is actually a very auspicious money year for you. It might not feel like the money gods are on your side in the early days or that you have Jupiter, planet of luck in your financial sector, but in retrograde motion until the 31st January and still shaking from financial tensions that came to a head in the final months of 2013 there will be a turnaround. With Mercury leaving your income sector on New Year's Day and Venus on the 9th January, focus on cementing your income expectations and a game plan in the early days, trusting that financial matters will turn around. That turnaround should begin on the 31st January when Jupiter turns direct, however it's not until May and June, when things start coming together that you'll recognise why you've had to go on the journey you've been on. While this will put a lot of focus on financial matters in the first half of the year and especially from the 10th May to the 14th July, after that your world is due to open up. It's on the 26th June that Jupiter, with a flotilla of planets at his side, slightly ahead or slightly behind will return to your sector of travel, adventure, learning and discovery, the area of your chart that he calls home. This opens the door to one of your most exciting and adventurous 12 months in over a decade and even if you don't travel or never study anything, life itself will become inspiring and you'll be ready to live it to the full. You will have some surprising support for this, in the most unlikely form of Saturn, the hard taskmaster of the cosmos. After returning to your sign in October 2012 and here until 2015, Saturn will spend the whole year in your sign, giving you the strength and the confidence to claim your power back. It's Jupiter's return to a more adventurous part of your chart in June and Neptune's position in a fun, romantic and creative part of your chart all year that makes this a year to really start living the life you were meant to live, with all 3 demanding that you get down from life's spectator stands and get back onto the playing field.

Love:
The love gods are making this an important year on both the romantic and relationship fronts, but whereas the forces on the relationship front are more subtle, romantic forces will be impossible to miss. For the first time in your lifetime you will move into the New Year with Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies in your romantic sector and while he's been here since February 2012, you're able to use last year as a practice run, moving into the New Year with the planet that dares you to dream and to believe that anything is possible. It's just 6 days after this romantic chapter runs its course that things will start to move on the relationship front, beginning with the Sun and Mars' return on the 20th April and running its course on the 31st May. This isn't a long time but a lot will be packed into this period, including a solar eclipse on the 10th May that brings the promise of new beginnings and will bring the element of fate into play. You will find that the door to the past will remain open on the relationship front all year, but it is guarded zealously by the love gods, who will decide which doors to open and when. While things will never quite go off the boil on the romantic and relationship fronts, with the main thrust over by the 31st May, it's the early months of the year that are the most important. Venus, planet of love will move through your sign from the 11th September to the 8th October, bringing a second wave of planetary support and a chance for the love gods to once again become actively engaged.

Money:
With Jupiter spending the first half of the year in your financial sector, in what is the second half of his 12 month visit aimed at getting your financial situation on the right track, there is a lot of focus on your financial situation this year. While Jupiter is the planet of luck and expansion and this is your luckiest and most expansive financial year in over a decade, don't be surprised if it doesn't feel that way going into the New Year. With Jupiter in retrograde motion until the 31st January and some financial tension and challenges having come to a head at the end of 2012, this may even feel like a challenging financial time. Yet sometimes Jupiter has to strip back before he can rebuild, with most of your financial opportunities coming together between Venus' return to your financial sector on the 10th May and Mars' departure on the 14th July. During that time Venus, Mercury, Mars and the Sun will all do their part to bring Jupiter's legacy home, with Mars and his financial passions and fighting spirit staying on the job long after Jupiter leaves on the 26th June. While there isn't any ongoing planetary activity in your income sector you will begin and end the year on a high note, with the early weeks and later months of the year likely to be the best. While you'll move into the year with Mercury and Venus in your income sector, allowing you to start the year with a smart head for money, some clear intentions and the laws of attraction in effect, this is more a case of a run over from 2012's income forces. Mercury will leave your income sector on the 1st January and Venus on the 9th January, after which point, apart from a lunar eclipse on the 25th May, you're on your own. This eclipse is likely to be a catchall for all things initiated over the previous 12 months, with some potentially unexpected developments or income gains. After that you'll need to wait until the second half of the year, with Venus' return to your income sector from the 8th October to the 5th November, the Sun's from the 22nd November to the 22nd December and Mercury's from the 5th December to the 25th December, bringing some of the most lucrative months of the year.

Business:
Since Uranus, planet of surprise and synchronicity returned to your work sector in 2010 he's been working to keep you on track, to keep your options open and just when and where you least expect, to bring surprise developments that could see things completely change tack and it will stay that way until 2019. This means that there won't be a moment in 2013 or for many years to come that things will ever go off the boil and while Uranus may step into the background in quieter times of the year he's always on the job, always ready to jump out and surprise you. That's why it's important not to move into 2013 with a game plan, because that runs the risk of developing tunnel vision or becoming so committed to it being your way or the highway, that Uranus is unable to operate effectively. Uranus rules through the laws of synchronicity, those that put you in the right place at the right time for serendipitous moments or encounters and those Eureka moments that in a heartbeat can change everything. Uranus only turned direct in December 2012, so in the early days of the year he's moving slowly and in no hurry, though with your income sector still active in the early days of the year there is likely to be a lot more confidence and the ability to use the momentum you have effectively. But with things not really starting to move on the work front until Mars reaches your work sector on the 11th March, you can afford to pace yourself and if you do this will allow you to keep pace with Uranus' slow increase in speed. A slow and steady start to your new working year does not mean you have a slow and steady year on your hands, with things becoming busy soon enough, just not all at once and right away. Your busiest point in the year will be when Uranus is joined by the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars as they move through your work sector, which they will do in a very short and frenetic 7 ½ week period that kicks off with Mars' return on the 11th March and ends with Mercury's departure on the 2nd May.
