Cancer Cancer 2026

2026 Overview

Cancer Horoscope
Be warned, the tone of this year is going to shift, but in a way that is exciting professionally and financially but also brings a call to not only hold onto a sense of wanderlust, curiosity and adventure, but the dream itself. No matter how busy life got, since his return to your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery in 2012 and until he left in March 2025, you have had Neptune, the planet of hopes and dreams keeping the dream and spirit of adventure alive and as you move into 2026, he is still here. Neptune had been gone for seven months before retrograding back and while Saturn, who had been there since March 2023 also left last month, within four months he was back and starts the year here as well.

While they were gone, Saturn and Neptune were in your career sector, where they were laying down foundations for their return this year and this time, not just for a few months. Until then, they are focused on the legacy they will leave behind on the adventurous side of life’s fence and how this can guard against life becoming all work and no play. Neptune will leave on 27th January, not to return again in our lifetime, while until leaving on 14th February, not to return for another three decades, Saturn will be giving you the resolve to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to keep that dream alive. This won’t end all planetary activity in an adventurous part of your chart for the year, with the faster planets moving through from 7th February to 10th April.

However, this is the point where the years of continuous planetary activity in an adventurous part of your chart will end and the transition onto the busy side of life’s fence will be complete. When Neptune returns to your career sector on 27th January, it is to spend the next 13 years here while when Saturn returns on 14th February, he will have until April 2028 to work with Neptune, who are now a well-oiled team when it comes to doing whatever it takes for as long as it takes to turn the dream into reality. Helping to cement this new era is when the faster planets move through your career sector from 6th March to 19th May. It is just over a month later that on 29th June, Jupiter will return to your income sector to begin your biggest year for income growth and expansion in over a decade. Until then, Jupiter is in Cancer, where he is laying down the foundations for a new 12-year Jupiter cycle of expansion.

Love

While it is a given that the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of January in your relationship sector, with the solar spotlight always on your relationships moving into the New Year, with a lot more company this time. The Sun will always return to your relationship sector on the December solstice, this time to find that Mars had returned a week earlier while Venus, the planet of love returned on Christmas Day and the asteroid Juno, the queen of commitment and especially commitment to your relationships, for the first time in four years on 30th December. This is the team that you begin the year with, while held back by a retrograde phase Mercury, the planet of communication will return on 2nd January.

This is setting the year off to a powerful start on the relationship front, but by the end of January, the only planet still here will be Juno, who has her own agenda. With Venus leaving on 18th January, the Sun on 20th January, Mercury on 21st January and Mars on 23rd January, and an active start to the year on the relationship front is short lived, making it all the more important to make this count. This should end all planetary activity on the relationship front for the year until the Sun returns again on 22nd December and Mercury on 26th December, both ending the year here. Instead, Juno will not only stay on until 29th March, but a retrograde turn will see her return again from 12th August to 24th October. Whatever you are committing to in the early weeks of the year, Juno will help you stick to it.

Meanwhile, it will be Venus, the planet of love, who will begin the first planetary activity on the romantic front for the year, with her turn to your romantic sector from 10th September to 25th October. Despite leaving, Venus will also end the year here, promising something special in the final months of 2025. As always, the Sun will move through from 23rd October to 22nd November, while Mercury will return for what should be a 14-to-15-day mission to give your heart a voice and to put heart and mind on the same page on 1st October. Instead, a retrograde turn won’t see Mercury leave until 6th December, while a retrograde turn will see Venus return for a do over and a second chance to work her magic from 4th December 2026 to 7th January 2027.

Money

While this is one year when first impressions will give you a good sense of what kind of financial year you have moved into, this will only be part of the story, with this year’s biggest surprise being how potentially lucrative it is set to become in the second half of the year. Until then, it is the Moon’s monthly visits to your income sector that will keep you on track and help to attract any income potential along the way, with the most significant of those likely to be a Full Moon on 2nd February. This will be during Neptune’s early days back in your career sector, with the potential to act as a trigger on both fronts. This is a Full Moon that will always fall at some point during the Sun’s month-long visit to your financial sector and when the focus is firmly on the other side of the financial fence.

Even more so as Pluto, the planet of change and transformation enters his second full year in your financial sector, the side of the financial fence where it is more about what you do with and how you manage the money you have. This is something you should be getting a hang of and while here now until 2044, an early sense of where you are best able to take your financial power back. While Pluto is playing a long game, the planets that will move through your financial sector in the early months of the year are doing anything but. With Venus, the planet of money moving through from 18th January to 10th February, the Sun from 20th January to 19th February, Mars from 23rd January to 3rd March and Mercury from 28th January to 15th February, this is the most active point in the year for money matters.

While things will dial back after Mars leaves on 3rd March, with his financial passions and fighting spirit banked, with Pluto staying on to keep things on track. Meanwhile, it is while Venus is moving through your income sector from 13th June to 10th July to do what she can to make these the most lucrative weeks of any year that everything will change. It is while Venus is here that on 30th June Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion will return to begin your biggest year for income growth and expansion in over a decade, which will run through to July 2027. Venus will leave on 10th July, but the Sun will return from 23rd July to 23rd August and Mercury from 10th August to 25th August. However, it is when Mars moves through from 28th September to 26th November that there could be some major breakthroughs.

Business

While you will start the year with Mercury in your work sector, he will leave on 2nd January, not to return with the Sun until December. With neither Venus and Mars visiting your work sector this year and the Sun not returning to put the solar spotlight on your work situation, job matters and options from 22nd November to 22nd December each year and Mercury not returning until 6th December, this is not an active year on the job front. Instead, this is going to be a big year on the career front, where the focus is on your wider professional game. At the same time, while Mercury will leave on 2nd January, this is not only a chance to start the year with your head in the game, but Venus only left on Christmas Day, the Sun three days and Mars a week earlier.

In other words, you don’t need the professional gods’ help on the job front, with more than enough momentum and resources to take it from here on your own. After a busy end to 2025, there is even a chance to take your foot off your gas as you wait for the pace to pick up on the career front. Because you have had the dwarf planet Eris, the warrior princess of the cosmos in your career sector for over three decades and she isn’t leaving until 2044, on the career front things never really go off the boil. However, the year not only begins with Eris in retrograde motion, but at a standstill ahead of a direct turn on 12th January, there is an opportunity to pause, with big changes just around the corner. Those changes begin when on 27th January Neptune, the planet of hopes and dreams returns to spend the next 13 years in your career sector.

This will be followed a few weeks later by Saturn’s return on 14th February, where until leaving in April 2028, he will give you the resolve to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes as he works with Neptune to turn professional dreams into reality. While Saturn and Neptune are here for the long haul, when Venus returns on 6th March, she will be working to exploit things now. This begins some of the most active months of the year on the career front, which will run through to when Mars leaves on 19th May. This is just over a month before Jupiter will return to your income sector on 30th June to kick off your biggest year for income growth and expansion in over a decade. By then, Neptune and Saturn will be settled into your career sector, with Jupiter linking up with them and enjoying their support for the next 13 months.
