This is a big year for all your relationships and especially the most important relationship of all, the one with yourself. Jupiter and Saturn, the two most powerful planets in the solar system both returned to your relationship sector in the closing weeks of 2020 and while Jupiter will come and go, Saturn is here until 2023. When looking at any year the rule of thumb is to look at Saturn for where there might be challenges and to Jupiter for where there will be opportunities. When you have them in the same place, then challenges become opportunities and by also having to show up and invest more, you are more likely to hold onto what you achieve. That means that there might be relationship challenges this year but also an opportunity to create strong and enduring relationships, with solid and unshakeable foundations.
However, to have Saturn and Jupiter in your relationship sector also puts them on the opposite side of the sky to Leo and this means that you have reached the halfway point of your current three decade long Saturn cycle and a 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion at the same time. Each is a major point in your life for self questioning and remembering who you are and your personal truth. That is why one of the most important relationships this year will be the one with yourself. The last time you had Saturn and Jupiter in your relationship sector and you were at the halfway point of these major cycles at the same time was six decades ago, making 2021 a hugely significant year for you. Saturn is here until 2023 but Jupiter will leave on 14th May, before retrograding back in from 29th July to 29th December.
I suspect Jupiter might want a bit of space from Saturn, after they have been in the same sign since December 2017, when they teamed up and spent the whole of 2020 in your sector of work and health. Jupiter will return to your financial sector from 14th May to 29th July where he will team up with dreamy Neptune, a very different partner to stoic Saturn. This is the first time that the planets of luck and dreams have teamed up in your financial sector in our lifetime and they will do it three times over the course of 2021 and 2022. Meanwhile, while having Jupiter and Saturn leave your work sector late last year has taken a lot of the pressure off, this year is likely to see a professional surge. Work and job matters have more than enough momentum and support, while Mars’ return to your career sector from 7th January to 4th March will get this professional year off to an empowered start.
From the moment you move into 2021 you are moving into a very different year to 2020 and this will be evident on both the romantic and relationship fronts. It is not just that you begin the year with planetary activity on both fronts, something that can happen but is not the norm is one thing. However, you will not only end the year with planetary activity on both fronts but there won’t be a moment of 2021 that either your romantic or relationship sectors will be empty. Welcome to what is destined to be a big year for romantic matters and a very big year for relationship matters. While that is the case on both fronts, they are not in the same league, with relationship matters the more dominant. Romantic matters are a theme that runs throughout the year but relationship matters dominate the year itself.
That is because January 2021 is Jupiter and Saturn’s first full month in your relationship sector and as the two most powerful planets in the solar system, they will be the dominant force this year. While this is the start of Saturn’s three year relationship boot camp with Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion here with him, where there is a call to show up there is also the support for relationship growth. This is no lightweight focus on your relationships, with Saturn and Jupiter coming together here for the first time in six decades to make this one of the most defining relationship years in a lifetime while making your relationships the major theme of 2021.
It is not the same on the romantic front, with the spirit of romance not shaping 2021 itself but there in a way that can support your relationships while making this a defining year for love. While Saturn is in your relationship sector until 2023 and Jupiter, apart from a break from 14th May to 29th July is here until December and they are the two most powerful planets in the solar system, it is a team of minor players that will keep the spirit of romance alive. The year begins with Venus, the planet of love in your romantic sector until 9th January but it is the asteroid Juno, the queen of commitment that because of a retrograde turn is here until 15th November. This will give Venus time to come full circle from 8th October, with a series of planets then keeping the spirit of romance alive for the rest of the year.
Since as far back as 2012 the years have followed a familiar pattern, in that there is ongoing planetary activity in your financial sector year all year but a more defined and acute period of planetary activity on the income front. That trend continues this year but whether it is the continuous planetary activity in your financial sector or the more narrow activity on the income front, both are more intense and come with a lot more potential this year. The planet behind the continuous planetary activity on the financial front is Neptune, with the planet of dreams in your financial sector from 2012 to 2026. While this puts the focus on money matters all year, Neptune’s job isn’t to make things happen and more to work behind the scenes on your financial dream in order to keep you motivated.
It is when the faster moving planets move through that Neptune will become more active, giving the planets that move through something to work with. This period begins with the Sun’s return on 19th February and will end with Venus’ departure on 22nd March. This is the planetary activity that will always happen here at the same time each year and is the bare minimum of what you would expect in order to address mundane money matters. This is not going to raise this above any other year in terms of impact or importance, but what happens next will. What happens next is Jupiter’s return on 14th May, earlier than expected but in the process bringing the planets of luck and dreams together here for the first time in our lifetime.
Jupiter is only here until 29th July, when he will retrograde back out but then returning on 29th December. Jupiter will do this again next year, returning to and leaving your financial sector three times over the course of 2021 and 2022. Something big is happening here when it comes to your financial dreams. Meanwhile, on the income front, the planets bring an extra dog to the fight as well, with Mars making his first visit to your income sector since 2019. The first planet to return to your income sector this year will be Venus, the planet of money on 22nd July, followed by Mars just a few days later on 30th July. With Jupiter retrograding back out of your financial sector on 29th July and Neptune in retrograde motion by then, this is when money matters will take a back seat and let income matters come to the fore. The most lucrative months of 2021 will run from 22nd July to 23rd September.
While the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of January in your work sector and you will always need to begin every year with your work hat on from the get go, it is without the heavy demands you left behind in 2020. It was just before Christmas that both Jupiter and Saturn left your work sector, where along with Pluto they created one of the most intense years ever seen on the job front. Saturn had been there since December 2017 and Jupiter since December 2019, coming together to demand much but also to offer much in return. Whatever the challenges you faced, mountains you had to climb or inner strength that you had to find are now the foundations for accessing all the potential that Jupiter has created.
However, with Jupiter and Saturn gone the building phase is over and if work and job matters were a house, the construction phase is over and you can now start living in it. Of course, with Pluto in your work sector until 2024 and the faster moving planets already returning at the end of each year and then spilling into the early weeks of the next year, things will continue to evolve. Venus, who didn’t visit your work sector at all in 2020 will not only visit twice in 2021 but will spend an extraordinary amount of time here. With Venus returning after Jupiter and Saturn have moved through and as she is always on a mission to fuel your job confidence, attract opportunities and steer things in a lucrative direction, this suggests that the best is still to come.
Mercury will leave your work sector on 9th January and the Sun on 20th January, with Venus returning on 9th January and leaving on 2nd February. Venus’ timing is perfect for it is on 7th January that held back by his retrograde phase last year, Mars will finally return to your career sector, where he will fire things up until leaving on 4th March. Together, Venus and Mars will be responsible for not only getting the year off to a good start on the job and career fronts but for pushing the ‘reset’ button, making this professional year distinctly different from 2020. Meanwhile, the faster moving planets will move through your career sector from 15th April to 12th May, continuing what Mars began. However, it is at the other end of the year that there are exciting developments, with Venus returning to your work sector on 6th November but then not leaving until March 2022.
