With the Sun always returning to your career sector in January, the year will often get off to a professionally focused start and then by February start to drop off. That won’t be the case this year, even though the faster planets will quickly move through in the first two months of the year. Instead, January is Saturn and Jupiter’s first full month in your career sector and this brings you to the start of what is the most powerful professional year seen in decades. Just having Saturn and Jupiter, the two most powerful planets in the solar system here at the same time is something not seen in six decades. Saturn is here now until 2023 and in that time he will give you the power to move mountains if you have to, but in return will demand that you show up and put in the hard work and effort. Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion is here to promote professional growth, expansion and opportunities.
Jupiter will race through your career sector before leaving on 14th May but will retrograde back in for a second, more thorough and deeper dive into things from 29th July to 29th December. During his absence, Jupiter will spend time in your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking, which he will move into and out of three times over the course of 2021 and 2022. What will really get this year moving and feel very different to 2020 is Mars’ return to Taurus on 7th January. Held back by a retrograde phase, Mars has been in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart since June 2020, making this the longest wind down of a Mars cycle in 32 years.
It will be good to get moving again and until he leaves Taurus on 4th March, the warrior planet of the cosmos will be looking for something to channel his passion, drive, warrior and competitive spirit into. While this is a powerful professional year or a year where you will be drawn to anything that allows you to embrace your personal and professional goals and ambitions, there are measures in place to ensure life doesn’t become all work and no play. Venus, who didn’t visit an adventurous part of your chart at all in 2020 will visit twice this year. Venus is here first from 9th January to 2nd February but will come full circle on 6th November but won’t leave until March 2022.
2021 has the right mix of influences across the communication, romantic and relationship fronts and that can have a bigger impact than had one been more dominant. Mars, who spend the whole second half of 2020 stuck in a retrograde loop will visit your communication, romantic and relationship sectors for the first time since 2019, lending his passion and warrior spirit to each in turn. It will begin with Mars’ return to your communication sector from 24th April to 12th June, where he is able to declare war on communication barriers. Mars will move through your romantic sector from 30th July to 15th September, where he will fuel your romantic passions and fighting spirit while declaring war on any romantic ruts.
Mars will turn his focus onto your relationships towards the end of the year, returning to spice and shake things up on the relationship front from 31st October to 13th December. However, Mars is not the only planet sharing his support this year and throughout the year Mars is part of a parade of planets. What Mars does on the communication front from 12th April the Sun, Mercury and Venus will continue. It is Venus, the planet of love who will begin the most romantically charged weeks of 2021, returning just eight days ahead of Mars on 22nd July. The most romantically charged months of 2021 will run from 22nd July to 23rd September.
Venus will also be the first planet to reach your relationship sector this year and by the time she returns on 11th September, she will be so far out in front of the other planets that by the time she leaves on 8th October the Sun, the next to arrive is still weeks away. This allows Venus to make a standalone visit to your relationship sector, with her time here from 11th September to 8th October the most magical weeks of 2021 on the relationship front. By the time the Sun returns on 23rd October Venus has been and gone, though having already set the blueprints for what you want from your relationships. What Venus begins on 11th September, Mars will keep fighting for until he eventually leaves on 13th December.
From the lunar nodes’ return to your two money houses in May 2020 to their departure in January 2022 things are not going to go off the boil on the income or financial fronts but not in the intense way that planets do. For the majority of the time, the lunar nodes are more focused on maintaining a balance between money coming in and money going out, while the North Node in your income sector is responsible for maintaining a lucrative sense of direction and the South Node for keeping an eye on money matters. The exception is when the planets move through and the Sun in particular, for this is when this will trigger eclipses. It is while the Sun is in your income sector from 21st May to 22nd June that its close proximity to the North Node will create a solar eclipse on 10th June, increasing the potential for breakthroughs.
This is in the heart of the most lucrative months of 2021 and a solar eclipse can trigger unexpected new beginnings and opportunities, to a more intense degree than an ordinary New Moon can. It is two weeks earlier that this will trigger a total lunar eclipse in your financial sector on 26th May which, because it is a Full Moon and a clash between the Sun and Moon can act as a catalyst or breakthrough on both sides of the financial fence. A total solar eclipse in your financial sector on 4th December is once again an eclipsing New Moon so this is more an opportunity for significant new beginnings and opportunities on the financial front. The eclipses are falling in your two money houses this year because the lunar nodes are here but they will only happen when the Sun is close, which means there is other planetary activity as well.
The most potentially lucrative months of 2021 will run from Mars’ return to your income sector from 4th March to the Sun’s departure on 22nd June. The most lucrative points in this period will be when Mars moves through from 4th March to 24th April and when Venus, the planet of money is here from 9th May to 3rd June. It is later in the year that money matters will get their turn, as is always the case. Money matters will have a small window at the start of the year and then a much greater focus on in later months of the year, as is always the case. Meanwhile, the year begins with Venus in your financial sector and while she will leave on 9th January, as well as allowing you to begin the year with a financial wish list the asteroid Juno, the queen of commitment will stay on until she returns on 8th October. This will begin a focus on money matters that will continue for the rest of the year.
From the get go it is clear that this is no ordinary year. It was in the closing weeks of 2020 and just before Christmas that Saturn and Jupiter returned to your career sector within the space of just three days, putting the two most powerful planets in the solar system here for the first time in six decades. Jupiter and Saturn are powerful in their own right but together they not only complement each other but create something even more powerful than the sum of their individual parts. Jupiter is here to promote professional growth, opportunity and to expand your options. Saturn is here to demand that you face challenges, dig deep and access your own inner strength, whether by choice or because of what you come up against.
Together Jupiter creates a sense of what’s possible and Saturn gives you the power to move mountains if you have to in order to make that a reality. Saturn is here until 2023 but Jupiter will come and go, racing through the full length of your career sector in just five months, something that will normally take him 12 months. Jupiter will leave on 14th May but this is just an initial run through, for he will retrograde back in from 29th July to 29th December to go back over things, making sure that no stone has been left unturned and no opportunity missed. This is the background that everything else will play out against this year and that includes the ordinary planetary activity that you will get on the career front each year. This year, this starts with Mercury’s return on 9th January and will end with his departure on 16th March.
In that time the Sun and Venus will move through while a retrograde phase will keep Mercury here for over two months. What will also get the year off to an impassioned and motivated start is the fact that you have Mars, the planet of passion and the warrior planet of the cosmos in Taurus from 7th January to 4th March, fuelling your passions, drive, warrior and competitive spirit. Jupiter will be gone from your career sector when all this year’s planetary activity on the job front will play out but with Saturn in retrograde motion, this will be a chance for career matters to step back. The most active months of the year for work and job matters will be from Venus’ return to your work sector on 16th August to Mercury’s departure on 6th November.
